Korea Will Again Host The Pack
June 15, 2020
Following successful presentation of The Pack in 2018 as the first Czech project presented at Busan's APM, the completed film will be shown in Korean cinemas.
We are happy to announce that 15th Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival (BIKY 2020, http://www.biky.or.kr) to be held from 7-13th July, 2020, will present our teenage ice-hockey film, The Pack in its official selection. Despite several restrictions and changes of planned events, the festival confirmed its invitation for our Czech-Latvian-Slovak coproduction by debuting Tomáš Polenský.
For The Pack, it will be already its second presentation in Korea. In 2018, prestigious Asian Project Market (APM) of the Busan International Film Festival invited The Pack as the first Czech project ever. During APM presentation, The Pack was at its beginnings, a project in the stage of financing, however, already back then, it attracted a lot of attention, including a coverage in the Variety, and also caught an eye of our current World Sales, LevelK.
“Even though the screening at BIKY will unfortunately take place without any cast or crew members due to the cancellation of all oversees invitations, we hope the film will win hearts of domestic young cinema lovers. We are really thrilled to have this opportunity to show the film to Korean audiences”, says producer Julietta Sichel, who, in 2011 at Busan IFF, received Korean Cinema Award for the promotion of Korean cinema abroad.
