Too Close Selected for Midpoint

Our new project Too Close by talented debuting writer/director and recent FAMU graduate, Tomáš Hoffmann Polenský, was selected for the prestigious Workshop of the Central European Script Center Midpoint. Workshop will take place during August 22 – 29, 2015, in Poněšice, and then in Prague, where the selected projects are presented to a pitching panel – members of international partner programmes and film institutions, producers and other film professionals – thus increasing the chances for their further development and production. 

MIDPOINT is an international script development training programme for graduating students and film professionals. It was conceived at FAMU Prague in 2010 with the aim of strengthening creative collaboration between writer, director and producer in the development process. During its five years of existence MIDPOINT has grown into a platform that provides several types of workshops designed to cover the area of film and TV dramaturgy and to systematically assist filmmakers during the entire development process. MIDPOINT has over 400 graduates, mostly young filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe.
